5 card in 5 days | Colour in with WOW embossing

Hello guys!

 It’s Ola here and in the next five days I’m going to show you five cards made in five days for WOW embossing powders.  This months challenge is all about flowers, so, for my next five card and video tutorials, I will be using WOW products to create floral theme cards only .

So let’s get started !  For my first card, I have decided to create a card with technique that I call ”Colour in with WOW”. Yes, that is correct. I will be using a WOW embossing pen to colour in my stamped image.

In order to create this card you will need an embossing pen and pad, embossing powder and floral stamp.

the step number one I die cut rectangular scalloped edge frame and covered edges with masking tape. I done this in order to created  background only in the center of my die cut piece.  I have used script stamp from ”Wall Art” stamp set by WOW embossing. I have stamped and embossed my script text with Gold Rich embossing powder and moved to the next step is to create flower and leaf.  For my flower and leaf I have selected stamps from the latest Craft Magazine and stamped with Ultra Slow drying embossing pad and emboss with the Ebony black embossing powder.

I have used WOW embossing pen and brush stroke movements to colour in edges and centers of the leaf and the flower. Then I have used Primary Yellow Regular embossing powder for the flowers and Metalline Green for the leaf and heat set it with WOW heat tool.  I have mounted the embossed rectangular piece onto card blank and die cut sentiment ”With Love ” using black card stock.  I have added  flower and leaf onto my card using 3D foam to create some dimension and the card is finished.

I hope you have enjoyed it and please don’t forget to comeback tomorrow for card number two.

Rose Gold foil card by Ola May

Hello,

This is my inspirational card for this month Facebook Fan page Challenge by @wowembossing . This month theme is Foils. Don’t forget to visit @wowembossing and enter for the chance to win $15/£15 gift voucher!!! Don’t miss out.

For this month Fan page challenge as well as my monthly blog post I have created cards with WOW embossing foils.

During the video tutorial I will show you how to create your own pearlescent card if you don’t have any. You can die cut a scalloped edge rectangular piece and heat emboss it using Wows new range of embossing powders called Glintz. In my case I have used Rose Gold Glintz Embossing powder and the result is stunning.  For step number two I have used a floral stamp and stamped it across my card. Next I have used a Wow bonding powder and set heated in the same way as any regular embossing powder, but making sure that I have applied foil while the bonding powder is still warm.  Remember to leave it till it is completely cool down before peeling the foil off and of we go!  Finally, I am going to assemble my card. For this particular card I have decided to replace the card blank with vellum blank (card blank made out of vellum). I have also pre die cut three scalloped edge  rectangular pieces to mount inside. I also did this to the back of the vellum to cover all the imperfections and make a space for your inside message.

And here we have Vellum card with Rose Gold foil flowers.

Hope you like it !  Have a great day and don’t forget to comeback for more inspiration from our awesome design team.

”Have the Sparkliest Birthday ever!” CAS card by Ola

Hello there and welcome back !

 Today I would like to show you how to make a clean and simple card using Floral Stamp and WOW ”Born to Sparkle” stamp set.  Also , I will show you how to add gorgeous WOW Sparkles to make your card sparkle.

Here it is

As you can see it is not a very complicated card, but a simple card with WOW factor. So let me tell you how I have made my flower  sparkle.

I started my card by stamping the flower onto red / pink cardstock piece. When it was done, I cleaned my stamp and stamped my flower over with clear embossing pad.    Now is the time to make the glitter mixture. Using 1:1 ratio I mixed bonding powder with glitter and sprinkled it over my stamped image.   I heated it from under the cardstock to ensure that the glitter is not blown away.    For my next step, I fuzzy cut my flower and moved to the next step.  I have used my stamping platform to add the sentiment ”Have the Sparkliest Birthday ever!” next to my flower.    Then I stamped my stamp ,using a black ink pad, onto a white cardstock piece which I previously die cut into a rectangular shape with two rounded corners.

I coloured in the leaves using Copic Markers and mount my fuzzy cut flower on top of the stamped image using 3D foam pad.

I added coloured cardstock to the back of my top panel before mounting onto the card blank and finally, added enamel dots.

”Try with me Thursday” series by Crafty Ola

Hello my crafty Friends!

What a year!!!

Only over one year ago I was recovering at home after unsuspected illness and dreaming about my own business.

Thanks to boredom and local craft store I was pushing into completely unknown to me direction.

I turn hobby into a bussiness (atleast my hubby does not complaint about expensive craft supply bills);

created Crafty Ola’s Cardmaking Club with hundreds of members( thanks to all of you for continues support);

become DT member of the company which product I adore so much (thank you #wowembosing for having me);

my work was presented in Creativation2018 in Phoenix( thanks to WOW) and finally cherry on top, one of my cards was published in Scrapbooking magazines in France

So in today’s ”Try with me Thursday” cardmaking series, lets try to recreated this card called ”Chick Rose”

We can replicate the  card published in magazine by selecting

– floral patterned paper for fuzzy cutting

-fancy frame die

-Background Embossing folder

-Sentiment stamp

-WOW Embossing powders

To see video tutorial on how to recreate this card please visit my Youtube channel Crafty Ola, where I end up not with one, two, or three samples.

With all four. Well, it is never enough handmade cards

Have great day!

”We can on Wednesday” series by Crafty Ola

Hello again,

Today  I had so much fun combining colour combinations that are less expected. Such as pink and blue, blue and light brown,lilac and olive.

My favourite card was made using pink cardstock , @tonicstudios flourish stamp and Hugs stamp and die set. Obviously Metalline Dark Blue @wowembossing powder is very important component to achieve stunning result!!

Simple card made by combaining pink and blue colour, therefore I can say for sure We can combine colour combinations that are less expected.

To add interest and dimentiont o my card,  I have stamped same flower onto two pieces of pink cardstock. Then, I have used shaped die to die cut one of the pieces and mount onto second pieace  in the way that remaining part of the stapmed  image is revealed.

I hope you agree with me too!

Have a great day

”Together on Tuesday” series by Crafty Ola

Hello my crafty friends!

Today let get together and created quick and simple cards using WOW embossing stamp set called ”Wall art” and Primary colours of Embossing powder Apple Red, Sunny Yellow, Brigth White and Ebony Black.

To see variety of powders available at WOW Embossing powders UK click on the link below

For WOW Embossing powders USA please click here :

So let have a closer look at the card I made for today

As you can see,  splashes of paint and  few vertical lines,  can create fun  and colourful card for someone special.

I have added die cut florish, to create focal point , and finished my card with thin stripe of sentiment, embosed using white embossing powder on black cards stock.

Hope you have enjoyed and will try it too!
